Tokyoflash’s new line of watches feature custom engraved wristbands
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Tokyoflash, a Japanese watch importer, has just announced they will be releasing a whole new bunch of unisex watches for their Nekura series. The watches all have that nice sleek metallic look and one is even inspired by a speedometer. The line itself is definitely for those that enjoy an almost industrial look added to their watch. Even while looking industrial, they still manage to make it chic. The fact that they are unisex is even better, it seems like thick heavy watches like this (which is my favorite kind of band) never come small enough for women.
This new release will include five new watches, which are custom engraved and the wristband made of brushed stainless steel. They can be purchased with either a black or clear strap. A couple of the other watches were inspired by a rotating disc effect from a combination lock and another a classic radio tuning dial. The watches will be sold for 8,900 YEN or $84 a piece. If you’re curious which watches are the new ones, they are the Cabriolet, Tumbler, Twilight, Transceiver and the Tundra.

The Nokia 3608 is a clamshell phone offering a 1.3 megapixel camera as well as the following features:
Some developers are getting fed up. Just a few months ago, they were the hope for higher level of happiness with our phone. Now, they’ve become teenagers: depressed, full of angst, holding ill will toward “the man”. In the developer forum, a petition has been presented that is gaining some steam with a reasonable list of demands: let us know WTF is going on.” I am paraphrasing here.

Just when we were about to forget about you, Centrino 2, here you come with your efficient bad self. Intel finally announced the new 802.11 Wi-Fi, integrated graphics-packing mobile platform after delays related to the wireless tech. Centrino 2 will come in two varieties: one for consumers and the vPro platform for the briefcase crew. The chipset can be configured for gamers, using a discrete graphics chip rather than the integrated set, if that’s your thing. Of most import (or amusement) is Intel’s HUGI (Hurry Up and Get Idle), which it says is the tech behind the Centrino 2’s uber-efficiency — faster speeds mean less time spent doing stuff, of course. It notes that the tech allows for an entire Blu-Ray disc to be played back for two hours on one battery charge. Finally, Intel promises a WiMax version this fall, so if you have the patience, you may want to wait for that barring further delays.
