Epson has started shipping two new Ensemble home entertainment systems, the HD720 and the HD1080. Both systems can give out high definition images on their 100-inch motorized screen through Epson’s PowerLite 3LCD three-chip HD projector. The HD720 display HD images in 720p (1280×720) while the HD1080 displays 1080p (1920×1080) resolution video.
Both systems also come with an audio/video source unit that also serve as an upconverting DVD player, a 150-Watt Atlantic Technology 5.1-channel surround system, a 10-inch subwoofer, two HDMI inputs with surround speakers, and a universal remote with LCD screen. The HD720 comes with the PowerLife Home Cinema projector with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1600 lumens brightness while the HD1080 comes with the PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 gives out a maximum of 1200 lumens and 12,000:1 contrast ratio.
Both home entertainment systems features three component, one composite, one S-Video, one RS-232c and one VGA port. In addition, the HD1080 has another RS-232c and a D4/SCART connection.
The HD720 and HD1080 are both available and retail for $4,999 and $6,999 respectively. You’ll also get mounting brackets and cables that will enable you to quickly setup the system in your home.
