Mobile Web usage at an all time high, says Google

It’s no secret that mobile web usage is steadily gaining popularity nowadays, especially as more and more companies are working together to bring users a better overall experience while accessing the Internet with their products. The Web’s biggest search company, Google, mentions that there has indeed been a rise in mobile Web use. In a report by Reuters, Google cites that their recently released mobile plug-in software, has largely helped in increasing mobile Web usage. I agree with what Google states, but I think this is really because of the collaborative effort of all companies involved in mobile Internet, including the software developers, as well as the product manufacturers themselves. Nokia, RIM, Apple, and other top mobile device manufacturers have also played a large role in making this a possibility. If this goes on a few years more, who knows, maybe even my grandma will be surfing the ‘net because it’s so easy and convenient to do, even with just a handheld.

Rumor: Apple again in talks for all-you-can-download option

The long running rumor about The Beatles music coming to iTunes had recently resurfaced, and once again was quickly proven untrue, so now it only makes sense that we should see the unlimited download plan stories start to resurface. The Financial Times is reporting that Apple is again talking with the “major music companies to offer customers free access to its entire iTunes music library in exchange for paying a premium for its iPods and iPhones.”

According to the story the negotiations are stalled over just how much Apple is willing to pay up, Apple of course had not made any statement confirming or denying the story. We here would tend to believe this one is not true, but hey stranger things have happened.
